I love the premade spelling books! We also have used SWR for.... ever. I actually own the original, first edition, Teaching Reading at Home, as well as the first edition WISE Guide. I could, maybe should, upgrade to SWR, but why fix what isn't broken? :) I remember one school year, we began doing foster care and when we received our first baby, I simply could NOT do spelling with my girls. I spent two evenings, stayed up late, and recorded every single spelling list on a tape recorder... dictated the words AND the corrections, markings, everything. That's what we used that year and it was well worth the time that it took. Your clue cards are something that I hadn't thought of. Great ideas!

Hi,

Those spelling books look interesting. I will have never heard of this curriculum. I will tell my family about it.
Are those pictures taken in your school room? The room looks so neat with so many books. I love books, ecspecially old children's books, they are my favorite.
You have a very nice blog. It was nice to come visit your blog. I found your blog through This-n-That Needlework.

The only problem I have with the proclick (as I have come very close to buying it before) is that I can not find spines that hold enough paper for us. I've been currently looking into purchasing (or saving for) a spiral binder. I've spent enough over the years at our office supply store for them to bind our notebooks that I could have bought two. LOL. Some of our history notebooks even broken down into four units/quarters get as many as 150 sheets.

Thank you for this informative post. We were going out to buy new Hummingbird Feeder mix today, but instead will try the 4:1 water and sugar mix ... a peny saved, you know ?!?!

God Bless.

Hi Debra,
I just purchased the SCM book and the HSTracker Plus also. Thanks for the hint about printing off the table of contents to the HSTracker. I am still thinking of purchasing their book that goes along with it. Please keep us posted as to your progress with using both.

Looking forward to hearing more about your experience with HST! I, too, had tried it years ago, but it didn't fit with our flexible schedule....and flexible curriculum! In Texas, we don't have to maintain any strict records, so I just ditched it! So my "wants to be more organized" side can't wait to hear how it works for you!

I have to tell you that I love your notebooking pages. It's almost overwhelming lol! I bought your all inclusive package and am loving it. We homeschool through the summer because it's so hot in Florida and we don't have a pool lol. We take off December to enjoy the season. I just wanted to say thank you for your hard work and your great info.
Keep it up.

Kim
